Some resources that I've found helpful for learning to cross-stitch...

• I like to use small pixel art, like little images from stardew valley to make quick templates. To make them into more detailed cross-stitch templates, I use this website:Floss.cross
• One thing that made my cross-stitch pieces look more polished was making the bottom and top threads go in the same direction. For example, I would make all of the bottom stitches face ↗️ and the top stitches face ↖️.
• If you are taking on a larger project, it can be helpful to save thread. This can be done by doing all the bottom stitches first and going back and laying the top stitches back over them later. The reason that this saves thread is it can make moving from stitch to stitch use up less thread
